Monument to the 157,000 and Three Reliefs: Vanity, Ostracism, and The Coat of Arms of Impossibility

Cast Bronze. Cast in Poland as my final work for the 2006-07 Fulbright Fellowship.

The work references my inability to assist in the plight of hippopotami species/habitat loss in Africa.

• Location : Sculpted at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych (Academy of Fine Arts), Warszawa, Poland; Wydział Rzeźby (Department of Sculpture), at ul. Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 37. The facilities at the school could not cast such a large sculpture, so I traveled south to the reknowned foundry complex in Gliwice, before settling on a bronze foundry in Warsaw, at ul. Spokojna 15, which coincidently years later became the current home of the Academy's Sculpture department.
