About Jeremi Bigosinski
Landscape Architect *CT*, Sculptor, Artist, Former Educator
Rem is a Connecticut-licensed Landscape Architect, part-time college educator in Architectural Engineering Technology, published author, cartoonist and artist.
Rem was born in Warsaw, Poland and grew up in shoreline Connecticut. When he was 18, he launched his own publishing company to publish his self-illustrated book, Adventures in Hippoville: Harry Hippo's Flight. He attended the University of Connecticut, earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts, Concentration Sculpture. He studied abroad at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie (Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw) in Wydział Malarstwa & Wydział Grafiki (Department of Painting & Drawing) in 2004; during which an exhibition of Igor Mitoraj's work in Plac Zamkowy, and his own experience with creating a self-portrait bust in bronze, convinced him to study sculpture back at UConn. He returned to ASP in 2006-2007 for a Fulbright Fellowship in Wydział Rzeźby (Department of Sculpture) where he sculpted a hippo monument, cast in bronze in Warsaw.
Upon returning to the US, he enrolled at RISD, earning a Master of Landscape Architecture in 2010. After graduation, Rem spent 6 years in Shanghai, China, designing over 40 iconic projects such as the Shanghai Rainbow City 瑞虹天地 development, Raffles City Chongqing, and Nanjing Scenic Villas 瑞安•翠湖山.
Returning to the US in late 2016, Rem began work for Fairfield County, CT, architects and landscape architects. Rem was a member of the Stamford Photography Club from 2017 to 2019, and has been a member of the International Sculpture Center since 2006. He taught at Norwalk Community College and CT State Norwalk from 2018 to 2024, teaching 2D and 3D CAD courses in the Program of Architecture, Construction, & Interior Design (ACID). Becoming a licensed landscape architect in Connecticut in 2019, Rem studied stone sculpture under Andrew Barnett Davis at Silvermine Art School in 2020.
In 2024, Rem relocated to greater Jacksonville, Florida where he joined the Board of Nassau Arts & Culture, an umbrella organization dedicated to fostering growth of the arts in Northeast Florida.
